"Formatting and erasing windows 10", I have a laptop, trying to downgrade from Windows 10 to 7. I have a clean copy of 7 to install, although every time I try to install I get a message that says the device driver singing is bad or something to that effect, so it won't let me install. The way it is designed, I would have to take most of the laptop apart to remove the HDD and format it. I opened disk management to try and format, but the format option is greyed out and I cannot select it. I have opened an administrator command prompt and it will not let me format that way either. I have changed the boot order but it won't boot off the CD for some reason. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can format this drive and push a fresh OS on it?
