"Do I need to format non-system partition after before Windows reinstall", I have a small question about Windows disk partitions. On my current build I was using Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1. Using two disks: - SSD ADATA SU800 256GB SATA III for system and most demanding applications, - HDD TOSHIBA P300 1TB SATA III (HDWD110UZSVA) for games iso, less demanding applications, rest of junk, So far reinstalled Windows 7 x64 Ultimate SP1 to same clean install of same Win7 iso one time. After that I've decided to change it to Win10 Pro x64. So I've reinstalled Windows again. Of course, during install I was formatting then erasing all system partitions but didn't even touched HDD drive partition - transfered it through the Win7 reinstall, now even to Win10. Didn't touched it because I have 458 GB of important files there. Should I format the HDD drive when I changed Windows version? Or non-system disk can be transfered and will work without any problems? Or maybe I should just defragmentate it? Can't find any answer on internet about my question and now I'm a bit worried about my HDD condition - because I've started expieriencing textures/shadows/objects popping in few games (they appear just when are close to player). The message during benchmarking of HDD partition left me worried too (it happens every time): "slow device detected reducing io load"
