"WD external drive not detected since updating to Windows 11 & Windows 10 on Lenovo laptop", I have a WD "My Passport" which used to work on my Lenovo laptop as I use it to backup my doctoral work. It still works when I plug it into another PC. This laptop came with Windows 8 but was quickly updated to Windows 11 & Windows 10 and now will not work. I have tried all other USB ports, tried using "disk manager" to name the device (feedback given to others with this problem), but the option to "change letter drive and paths" is grayed out. I have also updated all of the drivers using the freeware "Driver Booster 4," the advice given at another website. Please help! The drive lights up, I can see it on the disk manager and device manager, but it does not show up in Windows Explorer.
