"WD Elements 5 TB Partition and no drive letter help" , I just bought a WD Elements 5 TB external hard drive but when I plug it in using a USB 3 port it will not show in my computer, it does show in Disk Management with 3 partitions! one is 300 mb and is "EFI system partition" another is 4657.08 TB "Primary Partition" and the last is 128 mb "Unallocated". I cant assign a drive letter to the 4657.08 TB partition (it is greyed out and non selectable) so I guess I have to delete the partition and make a new one, before I try that I'de like to know if that will just be making things worse ie is the drive defective or because of this problem as above is the drive already defective? Will my warranty be no good if I try to reformat it? Oh yea last question is there a reason why I cant delete the 300 mb partition that has "EFI system partition"?
