"wd boost software",I get the following message after I try to do a fresh install of Windows 8.1 on my new WD Black - "Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting to this disk. Ensure that the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu." I have literally tried everything. I enabled the sata port that the HDD occupied (sata4). I enabled AHCI mode. I have formatted the hard drive (930 GB available). I was previously using my SSD as a boot drive, and the mechanical as storage (for my gaming library). However, I was getting errors such as (possible corrupt disk) and things like that while trying to access game files. For example, Skyrim had no music (audio file missing). I tried to access the Skryim file, and I got the "the error happens if disk is corrupt, etc). So, I completely formatted the HDD, unplugged the SSD, and tried to do a fresh install of Windows 8.1 onto the HDD. At first, the installation was successful, until windows actually started preparing files for download. The PC would then restart in the middle of the install. It did this twice, until it finally just stopped all together, and I would get nothing but the a fore mentioned error every time I try to set up a new partition. Please, any help would be greatly appreciated. I just spent around 1200 on my new PC (just the tower, not including peripherals). I just want to know if I should return the WD Black 1TB and try another, or is there a deeper, underlying problem.
