"WD 3tb My Book doesn't work",I have a WD 3tb My Book, I turned it off and unplugged it and put it away for safe keeping while I was out of the country for a month. I have years of very important data on it. How can I retrieve it? When I returned I plugged it back in and powered it up and it never came up. The drive was running but no nothing. It doesn't come up at all even in Device manager. I got frustrated so I set it aside and got a new drive to store the new data. Today I tried a different port and it came up for about 30 seconds then disappeared. I jiggled the connectors a little and nothing. Then powered it off and unplugged it then plugged it back in and turned it back on, nothing. Then I rebooted the computer and I got a format drive prompt then it disappeared and I haven't gotten anything since. I even tried the new cable from the new drive. It is just not being recognized.
