" Toshiba 3TB External Storage Device not showing on my computer ",I bought a Toshiba 3TB external hard drive. Just loaded it on my windows 8.1 laptop computer and it worked great as I put all my pics and files on it with no problem. When I go to this pc (My computer in windows 7) the drive letter for this hard drive is E: and says Toshiba Convio 3.0 The next day I decided to download a movie directly onto to the external hard drive. One movie downloaded no problem. The second one I knew was going to take a long time so I let it download and I left the room for an hour. When I came back to check on the download I noticed that the download stopped downloading as it stated the where it was being downloaded to was not working. I checked my external drive and found that the 3.0 cable was partially disconnected from the device. I connected the 3.0 cable properly back in my external hard drive and tried to download the movies, but the movies would not download onto the drive. I decided to check this pc to see if I could look at the files on the external hard drive. But when I went to this pc instead of the storage device saying Toshiba Convio 3.0 it just said external hard drive 3.0 and when I clicked on it the drive would not open. I went to devices and printers and it shows device external hard drive 3.0. When you move the cursor to the device it says driver error The external hard drive does show in disk management. I do not know what to do as I would like to fix this so I can get my files and pics back then reformat the drive before I use it again.
