Its happening on both my Dell XPS M140 and hp dv7-3160... I've tried everything, with two SSD's (Bulletproof 4 mSATA and Samsung EVO 256GB mSATA). SSD's easily recognized by my desktop, so the drives are FINE. I've already Tried: - Every combination of formatting first, clean all, initialize only, MBR and GPT, either on my desktop first, or during the installation process... - SSD not recognized on the xps nor hp in disk management, all possible cord/drive bay combinations. - Once I install EITHER windows xp or Windows 7, on first restart, screen is blank or drive not recognized by bios. - If I plug the drive as slave in the xps or hp with their original OS drive running, still not recognized by disk management.
