"Seagate 3TB, Previously Formatted with DiskWizard into 1 2TB, and 1 746GB Drives - Reinstalled Win7, 2TB part not Recognized",Previously, when I installed the 3TB drive initially, I used the Seagate Disk Wizard Extended Capacity Manager software to partition my 3TB drive into 2 partitions. 1 Max sized 2TB partition, and the remaining 746GB into a 2nd partition seen by my OS as another physical drive, as the software is supposed to do. When I bought the drive, this seemed to be the only way to use the full 3TB, and used MBR format the drive. (at the time I didn't know about GPT file system). All this worked fine for the last year. Recently, I reinstalled Windows 7 Ultimate, same version I had before, and discovered that it wouldn't recognize the drive at all, either partition. After extensive research, I noticed a theme related to motherboard drivers, so I upgraded those to the newest versions I could find on their website. After that, Windows recognized the smaller 746.52GB drive just fine. However, it is reporting the 2TB partition as 746.52GB RAW. In Seagate Disk Wizard, Extended Capacity Manager, it shows 2 portions. The First portion is listed as "Windows Native Capacity" and shows 2TB (X: 0.73TB) (Unallocated 1.27TB). Second portion is .73T (Z: 0.73TB). All it gives me for options, is switching off, or removing the Working Z: drive. Nothing at all about the 2TB portion. Other options within the DiskWizard software all involve deleting the partitions outright, and reformatting. Windows Disk Management interface shows X: 746.52GB RAW, and Z: 746.52 NTFS however the Box for the X: drive is most definately longer than for the Z: drive so it knows it's bigger than that. I have over 700GB of data on that partition last I remember. There has to be a setting somewhere or a driver not installed somewhere that I am missing as it worked just fine a few days ago with the same hardware and software. All google searches I have done so far, have referenced NEW drives, where existing data isn't an issue, or some other sort of MBR or GPT errors that don't seem like the same situation. Please Help if you can, what am I missing?
