Seagate 2TB external suddenly stopped after Windows 11 & Windows 10 upgrade: I have a Seagate 2TB Backup Plus drive which has worked great for over a year. Two nights ago I upgraded to Windows 11 & Windows 10. Last night I discovered my half-full Seagate Drive was no longer showing up in This PC. I updated the Seagate dashboard, and it shows the drive, which appears now to be completely empty. Also, the drive appears in the "safely remove" menu in the SysTray. The weird thing is, I can't open the drive to view it. I checked Computer Management and see the 1800 GB volume (2TB minus a 200 GB partition for mac files) but when I right click and go to properties, I get the following message: "The operation failed to complete because the Disk Management console view is not up-to-date. Refresh and try again, and if the problem persists please close and reopen Computer Management or restart the computer" I refreshed, reopened, and restarted, but the issue persisted. Panicking now, I ran a data recovery program and found most of my files, but they are mostly corrupted and unrecoverable. Since I can't use it, and can't recover the files, I decided to format through Computer Management as a last-ditch effort, but get the following error: "An unexpected error has occured. Check the system Event log for details." The last message in the event viewer is that the device "failed to migrate" which happened the night I upgraded. Even more odd is that I've been getting occasional blue screens with the error code "bad_pool_caller" which appears to be some sort of driver problem. I don't know if the two are related but it seems awfully coincidental. Can anyone tell me what to do to get this drive showing back up and usable again? This is pretty infuriating; my internal drive came through the update fine, but the external which houses my backup (and much more) was borked
