The other day i was trying to plug it in my laptop and port of the laptop was malfunctioning and it was getting disconnected with the safely remove hardware option. So now its in a RAW state and i need to recover data from it. And every time i plug it in now it says it needs to be formatted first to be able to use it. It is a 1 TB hard drive and most of the free softwares can only recover upto 2 GB and that doesnt help me as I cant buy the software. I tried chkdsk but it says it doesnt work on RAW drive. I was trying to use Recuva but it doesn't detect it either. So i'm looking for solutions to recover the data as losing it is not an option.
