"Hard Drive Shows up in BIOS and Device Manager but not in My Computer or Disk Management ", I downloaded my OS to a 250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD, but also installed a 1TB Hard Drive into my rig. Soon after booting the computer, I realized that the HDD was not recognized in My Computer or Disk Management, but I COULD find it in my BIOS and Device Manager. In device manager it says "This device is working properly" and I updated all of the driver software. I have been searching for an answer for months and it would be gratifying to finally find a solution. Any help would be lovely:) PS: In device manager, when I click on the HDD>Volumes>Populate, it says 'volume information for this disk cannot be found' so again in short: - HDD is NOT recognized in My Computer - HDD is NOT recognized in Disk Management - HDD IS recognized in BIOS - HDD IS recognized in Device Manager
