"USB ports wont recognise devices formatted with NTFS", I use an external usb3.0 hard drive dock to access several SATA hard disks. Three days ago I tested a 2.5 disk from a laptop to see if it was ok to use. The activity light flashed on the dock but nothing happened, no response from windows. Since then I can no longer access any type of external HDD (docked, self powered etc.) if it is formatted with NTFS. I have flash drives formatted with fat32 and have no trouble with them at all. I thought something was physically wrong with my MB. so I installed a PCI Express USB 3.0 four port hub, but the problem is still there. My USB hard disks all work ok on my other computer. The only way they are recognised on this computer is on the safely remove hardware icon on the toolbar. The computer runs flawlessly in every other way and has all my purchased programs on it. I'm hoping its not the motherboard, as I don't want to change it and still have the same problem.
