"USB flash drive stop being recognised asks to be formatted but will not format", I have an Integral USB 3.0 64GB flash drive which has suddenly stopped working. I took it out of a PC (using proper eject method) and tried to use it on my laptop when suddenly Windows 7 asks for it to be formatted. I have tried the USB drive on several different Windows 7 computers and they all ask for it to be formatted. I tried to use various recovery tools from companies like EaseUS and Recuva and even TestDisk but they just keep saying read errors or can't find partition. When I load up Disk Management it sees the drive as being RAW file system, with full capacity available but it also says "unallocated". When I click on the drive in Disk Management my computer freezes and it says Disk Management has stopped responding. If I ask Windows 7 to format the drive it says it cannot format it. Is there any way I can recover my files and if not, how do I format the drive so that I can use it again? Or has it completely died?
