"Hardware RAID 1 and Formatted Spare", So I've got a LaCie 2Big (RAID 1 and formatted to exFAT), and some spare drives. I had a brain fart and didn't realise it was hardware RAID, and ended up formatting one of the spares to exFAT as well. As I've always understood, for swapping out drives in this situation, I would just plug them in directly/normally, and the rebuild will happen on its own. No need to format the drives beforehand. How would things be affected now that I've formatted one of the spare drives? And what can I do to unformat a drive (if that makes sense, and is at all possible).
