"External HDD RAW File System ", i've bought this external hdd (Seagate GoFlex 500gb) two years ago. After around 5 months it started having problems. It takes forever to load when i plug it in any computer until the computers eventually hang up and stop working completely just because my external hdd was plugged in. I know it was alive because it works if i plug it in the tv instead to watch the movies stored or music and pictures until eventually after a few months of that it stopped working too. I don't remember dropping it since it basically stayed plugged in my pc ever since i bought it but what i do remember is that i don't use safely remove before i shut the pc down because it stays plugged in there xD i had a friend who have the same hdd who received a replacement usb cable from seagate since his is faulty so we tried it. my hdd worked with his cable but it already prompts me to format maybe due to me trying to make it work by plugging it in and then giving up when it takes hours and it doesn't load or when the computer itself decides to hang up. did that many times (i was desperate xD) so i just had it stored in a box for a year until now that i need a file saved in here for work that's why i can't just format it
