I used RE from win7 installation disk to auto-repair it but i was getting message windows like "the file or directory C:\avast! sandbox is corrupt and unreadable, same for C:\boot with "RecEnv.exe - corrupt file" on title bar" So i tried my luck with bootrec /rebuildbcd and it found installation but gave error while adding it to boot list: "the file or directory is corrupted and unreadable" so i did chkdsk /f but again got error..cant lock current drive, its write protected. long search lead me to do chkdsk c: /f /r /x which took an hour...had better luck with it and screen was showing msg's like "correcting error in index $130 for file 94945." Recovering orphaned file, inserting data attribute into file, windows replaced bad clusters etc.. "Failed to transfer logged messages to the event log with status 50." Next boot i got BSOD_bad_config_info, So I tried scannow and even with offline command it said it could not perform the operation.. then i tried HDD regenerator which didnt show any bad sectors just 1 delay on my 1TB drive. Somehow i was able to ??see my desktop but it had many error windows e.g taskmgr.exe - Bad image. But main problem is i cant read many of the text files, their data is just corrupted or gone, i have copied them to other HDD but many are corrupted and i want them back.
